Always and Forever

To jump straight into it, this palette is insane, you get 144 eyeshadows which are all shimmery shades and there is a huge variety of different colours to experiment with. These eyeshadow palettes are perfect for people who are just starting out with makeup, younger people, or people who are just obsessed with makeup (MEEE!!).
    
A palette with this many shades has been lacking in my collection for quite a while, so when I saw this palette I did not hesitate to purchase. I thought a palette with lots of shades would be perfect to create lots of different makeup look and with so many shades there are some colors for each season. Due to the fact I already had a positive experience with smaller makeup revolution palettes in the past, this also made the purchase unquestionable. I was over the moon to see, that this palette was an absolute bargain and retails for around £20 (at Superdrug) for 144 different shades. However, I only paid £10 because Superdrug was having a sale and I believe the sale is still current. They also had another palette with 144 different matte shade for only £10 too. So for half price, you cannot go wrong!

So overall, the majority of the colours have a very good pigmentation however, there are a very small amount of colours that aren't as pigmented and needed a couple of swatches to show the true colour.
I really love the fact that there are so many lovely shades that are so wearable and you could make any kind of shimmery look with this palette, I especially love the gold and burgundy shades that would look gorgeous packed on the lid with a matte brown in the crease. I really would love to purchase the matte palette too, to see how good those shades are. Applied on the lid they glide on smoothly and last a decent amount of time. However, I would recommend applying the shimmery shades on the lids before you put foundation or concealer on because they do tend to fall down on your skin when you pack them onto your eyelids. I really do think this palette is worth every penny and if you can grab it whilst it's only £10 I would highly recommend this, it would also be a perfect Christmas or birthday present for makeup lovers or a little treat for yourself.

One of the main reasons I love the autumn is for the great fashion during the season. In today's post, I will share with you one of my favourite autumn/winter outfits, which can be dressed up, or dressed down to suit almost any occasion. I have pieced together the outfit with a few different shoe options and a couple of layering pieces e.g coats, jackets etc. This outfit is comfy and stylish and will suit any body shape.

I have pieced together this gorgeous blush pink ribbed, lattice, v-neck top with these stylish ripped jeans to create the perfect autumn look. This style of top is really in this season and so is this blush pink/mauve colour.

This outfit can be layered to your preferences whether you want a thick winter coat to keep warm, or a simple fur gilet to provide a bit of extra warmth without covering up too much.

As you can see, I have styled the outfit with a simple leather jacket, which adds an edgy vibe and is the perfect staple piece for the autumn, as it will look good with any outfit.

Another way to layer is with a winter coat, which makes the outfit suitable for even the colder days leading up to winter. I love this Navy parka coat from Topshop as it keeps you warm and toasty as well as looking fab.

Finally, the last way i have decided to layer the outfit is by throwing on a faux fur gilet/vest, which keeps you warm but is very practical for autumn and when the temperature isn't as cold.

 
I also paired with it these gorgeous brown wedges which really pull the outfit together completely and adds a sophisticated touch.

However, for a more practical option, you coud finish off the outfit with a classic pair of trainers/sneakers to provide comfort and warmth.  I've been loving wearing an all white trainer for a more simple look. They also look good with anything, but get extremely dirty very quickly!

And lastly, I decided a pair of chunky black boots would look amazing with the outfit and would really pull it together nicely and they are very appropriate for the time of year.

The reason I came across this product was because I watched multiple youtube videos and read other people's blogs to find recommendations for a long lasting product for oily combo skin. I was on the hunt for a base product that would last all day, giving a natural finish but was also a matte finish (due to my skin type being oily). When I first tried this product I must say I wasn't overly impressed with the feel of it on the skin as I felt it kind of tugged my face a bit: maybe this was because I used my fingers to apply the product instead of a beauty sponge or foundation brush (i am still yet to try applying this way). Anyways, the product itself for me is amazing and looks really natural once blended out.

Even though this product isn't cheap retailing at around £30 on Asos, Feelunique and House of Fraser, I will be honest and say I will definitely be re-purchasing once I have run out (and when I have saved up for it) because I do feel it lasts all day and makes my skin look flawless but with a very natural approach as its only a skin tint; not a full coverage foundation (but it certainly acts like one). It also has an SPF 30 so it's perfect for the summer time and on busy days when you're going to be out and about.

 

I found that the shade St Moritz, described as a medium 1 is perfect for my subtly tanned skin tone. After coming home from Menorca (Spain) for 2 weeks I gained more of a tan and the product was a little too light to match the rest of my body, but this was easily fixed with a darker bronzer (I used the Nars Casino bronzer for this). I've also heard that The Body Shop, do darkening and lightening drops to adjust the the shade of your foundation to match your skin tone; can't wait to get hold of some as it will make life a lot easier when you've bought the wrong shade foundation.

Benefit Dew The Hoola, is described as a soft matte bronzer for the face. First things first, I'm going to start by saying this product was a huge appeal to me, after searching for a product that enhances my skin tone and provides a matte bronze looking finish and finally I have found the perfect one; if you're looking for the perfect bronzed summer glow, then look no more. With this magic product, it enables you to achieve the look of being soaked in the goodness of the sun with just one application. It gives a natural warmth to the skin without the gleam, as there is no shimmer.

As a finishing result, Dew the Hoola has a lightweight, even texture with smoothing effects and as a bonus it has a delightful summery scent. I would say this is perfect for skin tone's in between medium and light to add a natural warmth to the skin. I had been umming and aahing over this for ages because I was unsure whether it would leave me streaky and orange, but I have to say I was completely wrong. Luckily, I received a deluxe sample size to test it out, but once I run out, I will definitely be purchasing the full-size one.

Overall, I highly recommend this to all the lovers of a bronzed makeup look and I am very pleased with how lovely this looks on the skin. Although, I would not recommend this for people with medium dark skin tones or very pale skin tones just because it would either be to light or dark.

So for my everyday spring/summer makeup, i like to keep things simple and luminous. I love the look of a bronzed face, with a peachy glow with gold tones. I love glossy lips for the warmer months to moisturise the lips and help illuminate the face. A good drugstore lipgloss brand I've found is Seventeen, they're so affordable and all shades are gorgeous. To find out what products i use to achieve this look read below...

Lets start with base products-

 

As i previously mentioned, i love the look of luminous dewy looking skin in the warmer months to radiate my complexion. To start of with i use the

Loreal Paris Lumi Magique Foundation-


This foundation gives the perfect amount of coverage, but keeps things natural with a gorgeous, glowy finish. Its an absolute dream to blend out and is awesome for everyday use.

Next to conceal my under eye baggage and any redness i use the

Rimmel London Wake Me Up Concealer-



I use this concealer in the lightest shade, which is 010 Ivory, to give a highlighted under eye. This concealer is so lovely, it gives just the right amount of coverage and glides onto the skin seamlessly,  giving a natural dewy look. It really helps to give the impression of reawakened eyes and is the perfect product to use in the morning, to make you look alive again.

Lastly to create the luminous base i use

Mac Mineralize Skinfinish Natural-



I love this product as it ensures that base makeup doesn't escape and gives the impression of flawless skin. Giving the complexion luminosity providing a natural healthy looking base.

After base products, i like to use blusher and bronzer to awaken my face and get that gorgeous, spring pop and summer glow.

My go to bronzer for spring/summer is the bourjous chocolate bronzing powder in the shade 52. This bronzer has little glints of 'sunshine' to give an immediate boost to your complexion. It honestly smells amazing (like chocolate) good enough to eat, which isn't really something i tend to go for when looking for bronzers. But it adds a lovely finishing touch. Yet again this product gives a beautiful, natural finish.

Next i use blusher, my favourite blusher for spring summer is

Mac Margin Blush-



This might just be my all time favourite blush shade. Especially for warmer months because it is a perfect peachy pink, with a warm undertone, that is stunning for spring and summer. It again has little glints of sparkle that aren't chunky at all and it provides a beautiful pop of colour to the cheeks.

This has probably got to be one of the most raved about highlighters, in the beauty industry recently. It is STUNNING! I couldn't wait to get my hands on this product when i found out it wasn't limited edition; as it was said to be previously. I must admit at first, the fact that jaclyn hill created this instantly sold it to me (she is the queen of makeup) but when i started using this i was stunned. It is a creamy, luminous powder that gives the most beautiful glow when applied to the high points of the face. This gorgeous gold highlighter is a must have this spring/summer and i would love to try more from the Becca shimmering skin perfection range, because this is perfect.



I wasn't lying like seriously though, its too pretty to function.
